Abstract:

By analyzing the contents of harmful heavy metal elements of Pb, Cr, Cd, As, Hg in soils of Eastern Hebei plain,we found that the enrichments of harmful heavy metal elements of Hg, Cd, Pb in top-soils of Eastern Hebei plain is quite obvious, the local anomaly of Cr,As has been shaped, and the original geochemical features of soils have changed greatly. The high contents of heavy metal elements in topsoils are related to the local geological backgrounds and human activities, and the causes of local anomaly need further research. The index of geoaccumulation in the study area indicates that the heavy metal has not caused pollution based on the arithmetic means of natural soils of China;but based on the arithmetic means of the study area,Hg in the top soils causes slightly or moderate pollution and As, Cd, Cr, Pb do not cause any pollution.
