Abstract:

A study on contents of heavy metals in the representative selenium-rich soil was carried out.The results show that contents of Se and heavy metals in parent rock are higher than those in other rock series.However，thanks to special landform, transport conditions, and advantageous physical and chemical quality of soil, the contents of heavy metals are much lower in soil than in its parent rocksIn this work, speciation and fractionation of heavy metalswere studied using sequence extraction procedure in the abnormity plot.The results indicate that aside from Cd, the contents of heavy metals are low.Thecontent,exchangeable, carbonate-bound and loose organic-bound species of Cd, follow the order of 0.6 mg/kg,22.1%,26.5%,11.4%，and the content,exchangeable, loose organic-bound and carbonate-bound species of Se are 0.89 mg/kg，1.12%,26.4% and 0.62%, respectivelyBased on the result of theresearch, we find that the content of selenium is much higher and contents of heavy metals are low both in human hair and farmproducts in study areas, such as lotus seed, rice, etcMoreover, the residents are health and longevityFrom this study, we are looking forward to developing some new farm-products which are abundant with selenium in Longyou County, Zhejiang Province.
